Best portable power station for a CPAP machine (2026)
The single biggest factor is the humidifier. Without it, a CPAP needs roughly 240–480 Wh per night, so a 500 Wh station covers one night and a 1 kWh station two. With a heated humidifier and tube, plan for about double that.
How much power does a CPAP use?
A standard CPAP draws about 30–60 W without a humidifier, and auto‑adjusting or BiPAP models about 40–70 W. Turn on a heated humidifier or heated tubing and the draw rises to roughly 60–100 W. Over an 8‑hour night that means anything from about 240 Wh to 800 Wh.
Check the power supply brick that came with your machine: the wattage printed on it is the maximum, so real use is lower. If you are unsure, plan for the high end. Medical needs come first, so ask your doctor or equipment supplier before relying on battery power.

Tips to get more nights
Use your CPAP maker’s 12 V DC cable if one exists. Running from the station’s 12 V socket skips the inverter and its 10–15% losses, and lets you switch the AC inverter off entirely. Skipping the humidifier, or lowering it, is the next biggest saving.
For home outages, pick a station with a UPS mode that switches in 20 ms or less, so the machine keeps running if the power cuts out while you sleep. Every 1 kWh station on this site meets that, and the best switch in 10 ms.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a power bank station without AC outlets?
Only if your CPAP has a 12 V DC cable. A station like the Anker SOLIX C300 DC has a 12 V socket but no wall outlets.
Is it safe to run a CPAP from a power station?
Yes, as long as the station has pure sine wave output, which every model we review does. Always follow your machine maker’s instructions.
Can I fly with a power station for my CPAP?
Generally no. Airlines limit lithium batteries to 100–160 Wh, and every station here is larger. Ask your CPAP maker about approved travel batteries.
