The RIVER 3 is EcoFlow’s entry point: 245 Wh of LiFePO4 rated for 3,000 cycles in a box that weighs under 8 lb. It delivers 300 W continuously, and X‑Boost lets simple resistive devices up to about 600 W run at reduced power.

It refills from the wall in about an hour and takes up to 110 W of solar. It also works as a basic UPS for a router or security cameras. Independent testers measured about 83% efficiency under load, and found it shuts off quickly with anything that pulls more than its rating, such as a full‑size fridge.

Pros

  • Very light and compact (under 8 lb)
  • Full recharge in about an hour
  • LiFePO4 with 3,000 cycles
  • App control and IP54 splash resistance

Cons

  • Only 300 W, so no fridges, kettles or microwaves
  • Just two AC outlets, set close together
  • Solar input limited to 110 W

Who it’s for

  • Weekend camping and road trips
  • Keeping a router and phones online during short outages
  • A first power station on a tight budget
